Japan Heavy Jet Charter

Heavy jets are among the aircraft Jet Charter Japan arranges for trips to and from Japan. The types we arrange seat 8 to 19 passengers, with published ranges from 2,800 to 4,750 nautical miles. Which one suits your trip depends on the passenger count, the baggage, the distance and the airports at both ends.

Typical Aircraft

The types we arrange in this category are Bombardier Challenger 600, Bombardier Challenger 601, Bombardier Challenger 604, Bombardier Challenger 605, Bombardier Challenger 650, Cessna Citation Hemisphere, Dassault Falcon 2000, Dassault Falcon 2000LXS, Dassault Falcon 2000S, Dassault Falcon 900, Dassault Falcon 900EX, Dassault Falcon 900LX, Embraer Legacy 600, Gulfstream G350, Gulfstream II / IIB, Gulfstream III and Gulfstream IV / IV-SP / G400.

When a Heavy Jet Fits a Japan Trip

Heavy jets carry larger groups to and from Japan, such as a wedding party or a leadership team visiting offices around Asia, and most of the types we arrange reach Hong Kong and Manila from Tokyo. Some reach Singapore in one leg while others need a stop, and for Hawaii or the Pacific crossing your advisor will compare a long range jet.

Cabin size, baggage space and range vary across these 17 types, so send us the details and we will narrow the list down for you.

The runway a particular aircraft needs is calculated by the operator for that day’s conditions, and your advisor confirms it with the operator before anything is booked.

Vetting Behind Every Trip

Every operator, aircraft, and crew goes through our internal due diligence before we present any options. Our internal standards meet or exceed what the FAA requires:

  • FAR Part 135 charter operators for traditional private aircraft, or FAR Part 121 for airliner-size and group trips (or the foreign equivalent on international legs)
  • Operator subscription to Wyvern and ARGUS reviewed where the operator participates.
  • Pilot experience and operator incident history reviewed before we recommend an aircraft.
  • Fewer than 60 brokers worldwide hold Premium Wyvern Broker Member status, and Air Charter Advisors is one of them.

Japan-Specific Patterns We Plan Around

Most private flights into Tokyo use Haneda or Narita. Private-jet slots at Haneda are scarce, so we often plan Narita as well, and Narita closes overnight. Kyoto has no airport of its own, so international flights for Kyoto land at Kansai. The aircraft that brings your group into Japan can usually carry the same group on to other Japanese cities as part of the same trip, and a trip entirely within Japan is flown by a Japanese charter operator certified by the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau. The rainy season runs from June into July, typhoons are most common in August and September, and winter brings snow to Hokkaido and the Japanese Alps. Golden Week, the New Year holidays and the cherry blossom season book up first, and the routing and any fuel stop on a long trip are confirmed with the operator before you book.
